I am trying to get a hold of Etienne Chauvet. The last known email address I have for him is Etienne@Chauvet.com. Email to that address is bouncing. If you have a new or forwarding email would you please send it to me?

My name is Donovan Klein and my email address is dklien@canon.com

Hello Maxime,

The website is still here, it is just new and improved. We had to end our free email accounts to Chauvet family members for a variety of reasons: some were using their accounts to spam or pull scams on others, some let their accounts fill to the brim and never bothered to clean them out, and still other family members felt they deserved more features at our expense.

What we offered was a free personalized email account that could be used through every free and commercial online email service out there today. A family member could establish one of the free accounts, say at Yahoo, and never have to use the name associated wiith the Yahoo account. They could direct all email to "name@Chauvet.com" and we would forward or boomerang the mail through our servers instantly and into their private free email accounts. That way the free email accounts could provide the spam protection and filtering options so many demanded and a huge amount of email space (Gmail now offers nearly 3gig of space for every email account they host). And, as a member of the family, it was wonderful to be able to say, when asked what is your email address? "Why, it's my name: Larry@Chauvet.com".

Unfortunately, it was the illegal spamming and ridiculous scams that forced us to discontinue the free personalized email accounts. People deluged with spam or "once in a lifetime offers if you'll just send us $10 today" from several free Chauvet.com email accounts chose to sue us, and not the Chauvet family member responsible for all the spamming. And we had to carry the financial burden of maintainng the site and domain and try to placate those who complained repeatedly for various reasons.

So that's why there is no longer a "Maxime@Chauvet.com" or "Christian@Chauvet.com" or "Francois@Chauvet.com", etc.

Sorry. Wish we could be more accommodating but now the personalized Chauvet.com email accounts are handed out only to immediate family.

Thanks for writing. It is always nice to hear from a member of the Chauvet family.

Larry@Chauvet.com
